iBrowse PowerPoint Web Browser |
FAQ |
Question: Can I change
the background color that appears in iBrowse before the first web page loads?
Answer: No.
Unfortunately there is no way to do this right now. One work around that
some people have used is to temporarily hide iBrowse by covering it with another
object (a blank square, text box, etc.) in PowerPoint and then make that object
disappear using PowerPoint animation 1 or 2 seconds after the slide loads.
Question: How can I stop
error dialog boxes from appearing when the page has scripting errors?
Answer:
Open an Internet Explorer web browser and select the Tools -> Internet
Options... menu. Then select the Advanced Tab. Then
scroll down to the Browsing section and make sure that Disable
Script Debugging and Display a notification about every script error
are not checked.
Question: I am expecting
my web page to launch pop-ups. Why are they not appearing?
Answer:
iBrowse will try to use your Internet Explorer (IE) web browser settings for
blocking popups. If you want popups to appear, use your IE web browser to browse
to the pages that you want to show pop-ups, and accept the pop-ups (in whichever
pop-up blocking programs that are installed on your computer).
Question: I am using
the "Scroll To" Feature, why doesn't my web page doesn't scroll?
Answer:
There are several reasons why a page may not scroll when using this feature.
First, your page cannot contain any frames because iBrowse will not know which
one to scroll. Second, you must have Active Scripting (for JavaScript) enabled
in your Internet Explorer Web Security settings. Finally, this feature only
applies to the Home URL specified in the iBrowse Properties form. Check to make
sure that the URL in the properties window matches exactly to the web page that
is actually displayed. Some URL's will redirect you or change in some way. Try
turning the Navigation bar on so that you can see the URL that is actually being
navigated to and ensure that it matches the Home URL exactly.
Question: I am using
the "Auto Refresh" Feature, why doesn't my web page refresh?
Answer:
This feature only applies to the Home URL specified in the iBrowse Properties
form. Check to make sure that the URL in the properties window matches exactly
to the web page that is actually displayed. Some URL's will redirect you or
change in some way. Try turning the Navigation bar on so that you can see the
URL that is actually being navigated to and ensure that it matches the Home URL
exactly.
